The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This website really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to enable the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
